Our January meeting will feature our annual Homebrew Night; and we’re not talking about beer!
It’s a well-known fact that amateur radio operators are ingenious when it comes to developing new and original ideas for around the shack. Whether it’s a scratch-built radio or some hack that makes operating or repairing gear easier, being able to “home brew” something useful has been one of the appeals of amateur radio since it’s inception.
This year, RAWNY members have been asked to build something out of a plastic box that Kevin, WA2FKV, distributed at our September meeting. These boxes came in three different size, and each member has been given the challenge of building something useful for around the shack using the box.
Those who are not participating in building a project will be asked to judge the entries.
Home Brew Night will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 7:00 pm. As always, our meetings are at the Church of the Nativity, 1530 Colvin Blvd. in Tonawanda, NY.
Hope to see you there.
