RAWNY offers a vibrant calendar of meetings and social events designed to foster camaraderie, expand your knowledge, and provide hands-on experiences for all amateur radio enthusiasts, regardless of operating level. 

RAWNY General Meeting:

  • Held on the second Tuesday of each month, from September through May.
  • Location: Church of the Nativity United Church of Christ on Colvin Blvd.
  • Features live presentations covering a wide range of amateur radio topics.
  • Learn practical skills, from building simple wire antennas to setting up solar-powered ham shacks.
  • Enjoy movie nights (ever February), guest speakers, and diverse presentations.
  • A fantastic opportunity to expand your knowledge and stay up-to-date on the latest in amateur radio.

 

RAWNY Breakfast Break:

  • Meets year-round on the third Saturday of every month.
  • Location: The Family Tree Restaurant on Bailey Ave.
  • A casual and friendly atmosphere for “ragchewing” with fellow RAWNY members.
  • Benefit from one-on-one learning and shared experiences around the table.
  • A great way to build relationships and learn from experienced operators.

Special Events and Get-Togethers:

  • RAWNY actively participates in events like Field Day, Winter Field Day, Museum Ships On The Air, and Veteran’s Day.
  • We are always planning fun activities and welcome participation from all.
  • Whether you’re a seasoned operator or just curious about amateur radio, you’ll find a welcoming community.
  • If you don’t have a license, come hang out with us at any of our events and experience the hobby and the club.
  • Our club is open to all operating levels.
